Listed below are a few ways that DELC serves our community:
Getting the Word out!
God’s Word is a gift to be shared!
If you know of someone who needs a Bible, please take one from our pews and give it to them as a gift. As Bibles are removed and given away, they will be replaced in order to continue to “get the word out!”

If you would like to make a donation toward the purchase of new Bibles, please use a pew envelope or our donate page and designate for: “Getting the Word Out!”
Thank you for your help in
“Getting the Word Out!”
Tiger Pack Program
The Tiger Pack program provides food to less fortunate children who do not have access to nutritious food over the weekends.  DELC collects a basic food item or items on a monthly basis.  Watch our church bulletins for information on the program’s needs.
Local Food Banks
Our local food banks offer a valuable resource to community members who cannot afford to purchase food to feed themselves and/or their families.  DELC collects food to be taken to these food banks to help with ongoing needs.  Watch the bulletin for more information.

Remember Our Hospitalized Veterans
It’s time to remember our Veterans who are hospitalized at the James E Van Zandt VA Medical Center
There is a constant need for comfort articles for the Veteran when they become hospitalized for their ailments. These articles are given to the Veteran, but they are not funded by the VA, they are donated, or purchased through donations. We are asking you to please donate as you are able.(more)
Love Feast
Annually, DELC prepares and serves a luncheon to those in need at the Simpson Temple Parish in Altoona.  DELC youth and adults work together to prepare and serve a sit down lunch to over 100 people.
