Remember Our Hospitalized Veterans

It’s time to remember our Veterans who are hospitalized at the James E Van Zandt VA Medical Center
There is a constant need for comfort articles for the Veteran when they become hospitalized for their ailments. These articles are given to the Veteran, but they are not funded by the VA, they are donated, or purchased through donations. We are asking you to please donate as you are able.
Articles that are constantly needed are the following items:
  • Baby/Cornstarch Powder-small size
  • Toothbrushes
  • Shaving Cream-small size
  • Nail Clippers
  • Combs & Hair Brushes
  • Shower Gel-large size
  • Plastic Soap Dishes with Lid
  • Denture Cleanser (tablets)
  • Ladies Comfort Items-small size
  • Non-Alcohol Mouthwash-small size
  • Toothbrush Holders
  • Disposable Safety Razors
  • Emery Boards
  • Shampoo-small & large sizes
  • Sensitive Skin Bar Soap
  • Deodorant
  • Lap Robes
  • Ladies/Men’s sweatpants and tops-all sizes
  • Large Print Word Find Books (a favorite pastime for the patients)
We would like to help out as much as possible. Many of these men and women do not have the means to supply these items, and they do not ask for them. Your kind donations will be greatly appreciated. There will be containers in the church to collect these items from now until the Fourth of July, at which time they will be taken to the James E Van Zandt VA Medical Center.

Remember, these are Veterans!
On a personal note, having spent time in several of these Medical Centers and Hospitals over the past couple of years, I’ve found that these Veterans greatly appreciate any assistance that they receive.
