Evangelical Lutheran Church strives to be a relational church by creating an atmosphere of welcome to whoever joins us at worship or other events. We are an intergenerational church meaning that from the very young to the very old, all are welcome.
Our Beliefs
Our story is rooted in our relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God, Savior of the World, hope for all people. Our story is an admission of guilt because of sin and the grace that brings us forgiveness through the sacrificial life, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
We are a biblical church that believes that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God that shows our humanity and brokenness and reveals to us the hope of salvation through our relationship with God through Jesus the Christ.
We are a sacramental church that believes there is one baptism unto forgiveness for anyone ages 0 to 103. We believe in the sacrament of Holy Communion where Jesus promises to join us in the bread and cup and offers us forgiveness when we participate in the meal.

Who We Are
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Duncansville PA is a congregation of the Allegheny Synod (alleghenysynod.org) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (elca.org). We believe strongly in Jesus’ words to care for others by giving thousands of dollars, food and other items away each year in support of those in need both here and around the world.
Our visions statement sums it up best: Commit—Create—Communicate. We commit to a relationship with God and each other through Jesus. We create an environment and attitude of welcome for everyone to participate. We Communicate who and what we are about in hopes of proclaiming the Gospel with all we meet.
